The role and participation of women, even though many of them are illiterate, is tremendous in the processes of development. Few years back these women, who used to prefer to be in the background, are now on forefront. Because of their participating different training programmes, Seminars, meetings etc. they are now actively participating in the development issues encouraging formation of women's groups and organizations are proving to be useful. Skilled training like tailoring, handicrafts etc. are organized for the women's groups.
