RURAL HEALTH

As many of the areas of operations in the interior, many of the basic facilities including the health are missing. Many of the villages are in forest areas and thus even the primary health care is not available. Due to this reality rural health services is also a priority concern of EDCI.
These programs will include medical checkup, diagnostic camps, eye camps, child & women health care, preventive health education etc. Presently EDCI has 3 doctors and 16 primary health workers. One of the main tasks of this group is to impart preventive education through different kinds of training programmes, meetings, exhibitions etc. Every year about 80,000 persons are the beneficiaries of different EDCI health programmes.
