ENVIRONMENT & ECOLOGY:
We need to do lot of things in preserving and developing our environment as it was ruthlessly destroyed in the past.
Therefore this has become one of the main priorities of EDCI to provide different services in this field. Presently awareness and motivation programs are conducted in villages, schools and different governmental organizations to spread the message of preserving and developing environment in our respective area. Organizing exhibitions, painting and slogan competitions, are the other activities. Training programmes on awareness building is organized for especially for children, women, youth, farmer's etc.
Tree plantation on a massive scale is another important activity. EDCI has its own plant nurseries, which provide different kinds of trees for plantation every year. This year we have about 1,00,000 plants in our nurseries.
The efforts of EDCI in this field are very much appreciated by the governmental and non-governmental organizations and by the people.
We need to further strengthen all these programmes.
