of several Government programs like education, adult education, rural
health, watershed, agriculture, environment and ecology, child labour
etc.
WORKING
WITH OTHER NGOs :
EDCI
works in closer contacts with other NGO's of the region. Some common
programs like training, meeting, seminars on social issues etc. are
arranged jointly. Apart from the Networking EDCI also helps the new
NGO or smaller NGO's of the region in different ways. Sometimes programs
are organized with these smaller NGO's so that gradually they can develop
their own work in the Vidarbha region. These smaller NGO's also use
the training facilities of the EDCI. One of the aspects of EDCI is to
encourage smaller organizations, NGO's etc. so that the NGO's involvement
can be spread out the Central India region. Sometime EDCI arranges a
joint meeting with such group on certain issues, so that the issues
can be focused in a wider region. EDCI provides training for the new
concerns those who are interested to participate in the field of social
concern.
We
have many friends and wellwishers from NGO's and Government agencies,
who help us from time to time in the form of advisors and consultants
on the different aspects of our work. These people also help us in our
training programs, seminars etc. as resource persons.
EDCI
is linked with several regional, National and International organizations,
which are involved in the issues of social concern, development etc.
TRAINING,
SEMINARS, MEETINGS :
These
training programs are designed to create awareness and motivation, leadership
skills organizational skill, community development and programme organization
etc. for different groups like youth, women, farmers, etc. So that they
can effectively work in their rural situations. Training programme is
the main trust of EDCI programmes, which are being organized in all
sub Centres like Lonara, Navegaon Khairi, Kondali, Chamorshi and Gadchirolli
regions.
These
training programmes have helped the EDCI to produce a vast numbers of
cadres and volunteers, who help EDCI in different ways in organizing
the activities at the village and grass root situations. These training
programs would be further strengthened during this period.
